I was approached by Rouleau Manor to create a mural that would brighten the dinning area and open the opportunity for its residence to engage in a painting activity. When speaking to the residence, it was clear that they wanted the outdoors and to honour the First Nations (Blackfoot). Fortunately there were some Indigenous people living in the facility including one elder who was very wise and could guide the project’s content. All of the representations are of indigenous species. The elder blessed the creation of the mural in Blackfoot and the rest of the residents painted along side us.

As a bonus to this mural, I was taught some of the Blackfoot language.
